Stirchley Neighbourhood Forum
At last night’s Stirchley Neighbourhood Forum
Meeting forty nine residents, committee members and guests assembled for our Annual General meeting.
Once the committee were re-elected our guests, principle planning officers. Alison Powell & John Richardson discussed the latest plans for Tesco (due to open around December 2015) and the local development plan.
Once the presentations had taken place there ensued a heated debate regarding Tesco and monies from the planning application and the use of said money, Damien Alexander (Lifford Business Association) challenged the planning officers about the shortfall and the affect this is likely to have not only on Stirchley high street but also on Cotteridge.
After 20 minutes of debate it was obvious that nothing was going to be resolved at the meeting tonight.
As the end of meeting was approaching the Chairman asked for the Tesco debate to end so that others could ask questions regarding the Local development plan.
For a more accurate description of what was said, please look out for the minutes which will be put on the website in around two weeks’ time.
