Urban Walk By Mohini Howard

Start: The Hub. Time: 65 minutes

1. Coming out of the Hub, turn right on to Vicarage Road. Cross pedestrian crossing, turn left on to Mill-brook Road and almost immediately right on to Allens Croft. Continue ahead. Cross The Pathway and Fawley Grove. Curving left, the road becomes Brandwood Park Road.
2.  Continue and  cross  Reaside Crescent. Turn right on to Lifford Close and cross to opposite footpath to walk up Towpath Way.

3.  Cross Cressy Close, continuing along the path to reach the canal towpath entrance. Turn right, walk alongside tho Stralford-upon-Avon canal. Continue ahead, walk straight over swing bridge.

4.   Continue ahead to Guillotine bridge, turning right. Go up the path to reach Lifford Lane.

5.  At Lifford Lane turn right. After several steps, Cross road to opposite footpath, in the same direction.

6. Continue along, crossing back to the other side of the road again at dropped kerb. Turn right on to Tunnel Lane, continuing past Lifford Hall on your right.

7.  Straight ahead is Lifford Reservoir. Step down, turn right to walk along the right hand side of the reservoir. Where the path turns to the left to continue around the reservoir, go straight ahead up the gravel path to meet Tunnel Lane.

8.   After viewing the reservoir, instead of taking the step down to walk alongside the water, continue to use Tunnel Lane. Curving to the right, it soon joins the main route.

9.   Continue up Tunnel  Lane to swing bridge and canal. Turning left, walk on canalside.

10. At the first towpath exit (left) you'll reach Towpath Way. Retrace steps back to the Hub.
